Coming Home to Wholeness: IFS Therapy for OCD
You are not broken. You are not alone. And you are not your OCD.
If you're living with obsessive-compulsive patterns, you already know the inner world can feel like a battleground. At times you may be experiencing endless loops of thought, urgent rituals, and the aching need for certainty. You may feel trapped in your own mind, desperate for relief, yet terrified of what might happen if you let go.
But what if the part of you stuck in obsessive checking, ruminating, or avoiding is not trying to hurt you… but trying to protect you?
A Different Path: Compassionate, Inner-Led Healing
As an Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist with a specialty in OCD, I offer a different way of understanding what you're going through—one that sees beneath the diagnosis and into the human heart.
Rather than fighting the OCD or managing symptoms indefinitely, we listen to the deeper intelligence within your system. We gently turn toward the protective parts that have been working so hard to keep you safe—often since childhood—adolescence—a traumatic experience—or a gradually creeping need for certainty and more obsessive rituals and compulsions acting as a rampart against some life’s very real vicissitudes a part of parts of you have experienced—and help them unburden the fears, traumas, and beliefs they’ve been carrying alone and without pure connection from Self-energy.
Our “Lead Parts” can come in at a time of overwhelm, of trauma, to save the whole system, and create a “dysfunctional functionality” – managing many parts – and integrating them in a dysfunctional but life-saving-at-the-time way of being – as Lead Parts graciously take place of Self – without which, the system would be in danger of complete collapse...
These parts are to be honored. Whilst acknowledging that these parts need help too. And also acknowledging that their help and leadership may also keep parts from coming into direct connection with Self…
This approach, inspired by my own experience in my own system and with many clients who have suffered from OCD, honors every part of you, including the ones that seem irrational or overwhelming. It’s not only about exposure, and definitely not about compliance. It’s about internal connection, healing, and freedom from within and parts' witnessing You leading in a way that builds connection and trust.
What If Healing Isn’t About Fixing, But Befriending?
In IFS, we come to understand that OCD is not a pathology. It’s a system of inner protectors doing the best they can to manage vulnerability and pain.

Why This Work Is Different
You Deserve More Than Coping. You Deserve Connection
You might be tired of therapists who don’t understand the nuances of OCD, or of trying to explain what “just letting it go” actually feels like. Here, you don’t have to explain. You’ll meet your parts with attunement, insight, and deep respect in their inner complexity, and help them unfold, in the light of Self, in their freedom and self-realisation.
Whether your OCD shows up in thoughts, behaviors, or subtle forms of mental checking, we can navigate together—not to “get rid” of anything, but to reclaim your parts connection with Your Self.
Ready to Begin?
Healing from OCD is not about conquering your mind. It's about coming home to it—with presence, patience, and love.
I invite you to schedule a free consultation to see if this work feels right. There is a way through. And there is a You, beyond the loops, your parts are waiting to meet more fully and truly, so that they can become who they were born they were born to be, living in this world in wholeness, led by You.

What If Healing Isn’t About Fixing, But Befriending?
In IFS, we come to understand that OCD is not a pathology. It’s a system of inner protectors doing the best they can to manage vulnerability and pain.
You may have:
- A part that obsesses over harm, contamination, or morality
- A part that compulsively checks, counts, or cleans
- A part that is terrified of doing something “bad”
- A compulsive part that “undoes” beliefs affirmed by movements or thoughts, which associate your parts identity as bad, stupid, evil…and that has no direct experiential connection with Your True Identity as Self…
- These parts are not the enemy. They may be younger parts – children or adolescents – who are performing heroic tasks, locked at an event in space and time, saving the system, creating order instead of chaos in this present moment – desperately unknown to themselves—in need of help themselves, and a living relationship, with Self-energy.
Why This Work Is Different
- Non-Pathologizing & Respectful
We don’t try to eliminate parts of you. We help them feel safe enough to relax. - Self-Led Healing
Your Self-Energy is the healer—in this energetic field your parts soften, unfold, are witnessed, share their story, unburden, and come into being. - No Forcing or Flooding
We move at your nervous system’s pace, with moment to moment, present, tenderness. - Lasting Change
We go to your parts’ core experiences – revisiting and redoing them – creating new neural pathways and allowing new beliefs to form and come into being, in the light of ontological truth – the truth of who your parts are, experientially, creating a new way of being, blessed in the sunlight of Self.
