What to expect working with us
Working with us at the Heart of Relationships is very different to other couple counsellors or relationship coaches so we both share what it is like to work with us and how we work. Please note that our work is very deeply personalised and designed to each couple's and individual's requirements so each process is unique.
Working with both Linda and John

Linda Connors Sexual and intimacy issues
As a Therapist combing Hypnotherapy, Life Coaching and Mindfulness on average I work with individuals experiencing sexual issues or intimacy issues for approximately six session. Sexual issues I work with include: premature ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, porn addition, sexual anxiety, Vaginismus, orgasmic dysfunction, and low sex drive. I also work with intimacy for people who find it difficult to connect with others on a deeper emotional level.
Initial consultation
The first session is focussed on what brings you to therapy, we discuss your sexual relationships, your attitudes and thoughts about sex and intimacy. We also discuss your goals and what you want to achieve. We will also agree to how many session we will work together.
During this session we also start the process of working together by working on your thoughts (e.g. relating to sex or intimacy), how you respond to these thoughts, and the feelings and emotions (e.g. anxiety, fear, lack of confidence) you experience during sex. You will learn my unique process of how to manage your thoughts and emotions in a healthier and more positive way.
Many people often leave this first session with a deeper understanding of what is happening in their relationship or sex life and with goals to move forward.
Subsequent sessions
The following sessions you will be begin to experience a change to the way you think, feel, respond and behave by resolving the underlying issues and removing the blocks which have been holding you back and learning how to be more deeply connect with your body and creating harmony between your mind and body.
On a sexual level you will begin to feel more sexual confident, in control, open, calmer and more relaxed. On an intimacy level you will learn how to open your heart and mind to yourself and your partner to connect in deeper and more meaningful ways.
Many of my clients tell me that not only have their sex life has improved but other areas of their life and relationship have also transformed.
What is hypnotherapy
Hypnosis is a therapeutic process which bypasses the conscious and works directly with the unconscious or subconscious and is used to create changes with thoughts, behavioural patterns, habits and emotions.
What is Life coaching
As a Life Coach I create a process which empowers others to take action and create changes into their life from sexual relationships, intimacy, love and relationships. I know the specific answers to guide you take this action and create the change you want.
What is mindfulness
Mindfulness is a state which is achieve by focussing on the present moment - regardless to what is happening around you. My approach to mindfulness also takes it a step further, by helping others to create a harmony between mind and body and also create a deeper and more comfortable connection with the body.

John Donlon Couple Counselling and Relationship Coaching
As a counsellor, psychotherapist, life coach and NLP Practitioner, I work with people in crisis situations, people who want to resolve issues in their lives and move forwards, people who want to make fundamental changes to the way they think and feel and are - such as moving out of depression, leaning how to have healthy relationships ect., and more severe issues such as hallucinations and hearing voices.
Because of my vast experience and repertoire of skills, techniques and approaches, I specialize in helping you hone down on any problem or issue and find a way to achieve the specific outcome you want to achieve.

From here we can create a plan together on how to move forwards, making sure everything is sustainable for you - which includes time, finances, and commitment on both sides, to ensure successful therapy.
During the assessment we will go through a step by step process which will allow you to create your own well-formed outcome. You will become clear on what you want to achieve, we will put in place the steps you will go through and the changes I can help you make to achieve your goals, and you will experience positive movement towards your goals during the assessment which gives you a taste of the process and often gives clients confidence in their ability to succeed.
We will agree an approximate time scale and number of sessions, a set fee, and regular times - which both commit to. We will also review progress every session to make sure things are on track for you.
Subsequent sessions
You will find very rapidly things begin to fall into place and you well develop an understanding of your issues from an entirely new perspective which incorporates you learning specific skills which empower you with new abilities to enhance your existing skills and talents and take the life course you really want. You will transform yourself and your life and realise you true potential.
The issues you came with will have become the keys to new insight and transformation. Whatever your difficulties you came with - you will use them to grow as a person, learn new skills, and thrive in your life.
